Morten Andersen is a co-founder and editor of DaycareSquare. He helped start the site on a simple premise: the hardest part of finding childcare is not finding a list, it is knowing which questions to ask and which tradeoffs actually matter. DaycareSquare exists to answer those questions honestly, without selling the answer to the highest bidder.

He leads DaycareSquare's coverage of choosing a daycare well: how to read a license and an inspection report, what quality and accreditation really signal, the safety questions worth asking on a tour, and how the main early-learning approaches differ. He is accountable for the standard that the site is upfront about tradeoffs — that a daycare with three stars stays at three stars — and that recommendations are explained, not asserted.

Roughly half of DaycareSquare's guides carry his byline; the other half are written and edited by co-founder Fredrik Filipsson.
