Fredrik Filipsson is a co-founder and editor of DaycareSquare. He helped start the site to give parents an independent, plainly written guide to childcare — one where the ranking is the ranking, premium placements are clearly labeled, and every cost figure is sourced and dated.
He leads DaycareSquare's coverage of the money side of childcare: tuition, cost ranges by city and state, subsidies and assistance programs, and the logistics of getting enrolled. He is accountable for the standard that no price appears on the site without a citation and an update date, and that the site publishes ranges rather than single numbers, because the spread inside a single ZIP code is often the whole story.
Roughly half of DaycareSquare's guides carry his byline; the other half are written and edited by co-founder Morten Andersen.
